please don't do that anymore! as a person who was in a similar dilemna as you, i learned my lesson when my vision started becoming fuzzy with my contacts or glasses on. my opthalmologist told me that the contacts prevent the oxygen from reaching your eyes. also, when your eyes are dry and you take out your contacts, you can sometimes pull up cells from your cornea creating a rough surface (and blurry vision).
please take my advice and take out your contacts as your doc told you to. you'll really start to value your eyesight when everything is blurry and you can't fix it! (btw, my eyes healed just fine, but i wasn't allowed to wear contacts for 6 months and it was hell!)

One of the main reasons you are supposed to take your contacts out overnight is to disinfect them. You could end up with a really nasty eye infection if you leave them in all the time. I'm not saying that it will happen, but you greatly increase the possibility of having problems when you do not take your contacts out and soak them overnight.

They say you shouldnt do it but I also do it sometimes and when I do my eyes get extremely dry. And sometimes when I AM ready to take them out I find it hard to grip them. So I don't think its an extremely huge deal if you do it. I think its just one of those "Do at your own risk" type of situations. Like, if something bad DOES happen to your eyes because of leaving contacts in too long, you can't get mad cuz you were forewarned.

It is very dangerous to leave your contact lens in your eyes for such a long period of time. Ever heard from your friends that the lens will somehow slip into the back of your eyeballs while you are sleeping and you thought that its crap? I thought it was crap too until one day one of my contact lens nearly went into my eyeball and i had to use my fingernail to dig the len out and it was horrible! Trust me, you wouldn't want to have that experience. Besides the danger of your lens going into your back of your eyes, when you leave your lens for too long you may even accumulate bacteria and germs in the lens which may results in eye infection (in serious cases, you may lose your eyesight). Try to get your lens out daily for cleansing and when you take them out, you can help to relax your eyes! Another thing to take note is the expiry date of the lens and your cleansing solution. Do not use expired products as they may cause severe irritation to your eyes. Hope this can help you..

Your eyes lack oxygen, and arent you getting major headaches?? Aren't your eyes getting sooooo dry?? Your only supposed to have contacts in for 12 hours(max!). You might aswell just get laser eye surgery. If you dont have two minutes to put i nyour contacts, just get laser eye surgery. My brother got it, and he can see better than he ever could with contacts.
