go to a beauty supply shop and get a bucket of bleach. it will last you over a year, and i do my and other peoples hair alot. some places have small packets for one time use.

you will also need developer, at least 20 (if you've never bleached before, i wouldnt recommend 40) the instructions should be on the powder bleach container, but you basically mix the two together (in the right amounts!) really well until it becomes a blue paste.

when you're doing it, put some vascline around your hairline. make sure to wear gloves, and if you have a hairbrush (for dying, not combing!) that's really helpful too.

diy is alot cheaper then going to the salon, and in my experience you can do it better then a stylist (especially if you're going for a 'different' style)

ok
a great AFFORDABLE
NATURAL(lookingXD)
EASY
method which i use...
is to buy a bottle of benzoyl peroxide at ur local drug store(maybe 2 bucks for a nice size bottle...real cheap!)
mix some conditioner with benzoyl peroxide...but make sure it isn't too mux conditioner...very liquidy mixture...and pour it over all ur hair over a bathtub or something...and leave it on for a few hours before washing ur hair!!
it works!!
also...in addition, if u go to a school of cosmotology, u can get ur hair professionally bleached for at least 2 or 3 times less the prices of bleaching in regular salons...and since the people are students who get payed by tips...they will put good effort into it...anddddd...it isn't that hard for them to bleach hair, so u don't have to worry about mistakes like u might when someone is cutting ur hair
good luck:D
XAO:D

you really shouldn't bleach your hair it will damage it really bad, mine is bleached right now but if you really want to do it yourself then you should go to a beauty supply store and ask the people there what you should do. they will probably tell you to get a kit which is a good idea and then you need to get a 40 or 20 volume processor and then u need to get a toner other wise it will come out really yellow and you don't want that so you should ask they people for a toner that helps tone down the yellow and don't dye it or bleach it again for a while. it also depends on your hair color and if u dye it or have dyed it recently like if Ur hair is black i don't recommend that u bleach it otherwise it wont come out good. the bleach kit that i got is called like radical bleach kit or something and so that's the one that u should get, cause it worked good for me. if u don't dye Ur hair alot or don't know how to dye hair or anything about hair then i don't recommend that u do it yourself, if u need any more help or tips then email me at rockerchick2719@yahoo.com.

If you are wanting to bleach hair, then you need to buy hair bleach to mix with the peroixde to get the lighter color. Then buy a toner to tone down any brassiness and get the blonde color you are wanting. Go to your local beauty supply and speak to a person who is knowlegable in selecting the correct bleaching, peroxide and toner products.

The first answer is right, this is risky to do yourself, as you can really make a huge mistake if you are not familiar with bleaching your hair.

Don't do it yourself. Get a stylist who is just starting out, or go to a beauty school if you are concerned about the price. Don't worry. They won't mess up.
