Why would you want to? Alcohol is a depressant and you are taking anti depressants. When you drink alcohol the effects of the drugs are hightened and you might have bad side effects.

Honestly, I don't think that mixing 150 mg of codeine and one beer is going to hurt you. I mean, 150 mg is not THAT much codeine, and its not like your trashed. If you take it, you probably should only take one dose and don't drink anymore. The human body is amazingly resilient. However, its recommended that if you drink everyday, you shouldn't take acetaminophen. Neither one is good for your liver.

*Edit -- Does Stacey honestly think that acetaminophen and codeine are anti-depressants? They are analgesics, aka pain relievers.

It is not smart to drink and take codeine. They are both depressants which means they slow your heart rate and the body functions. If I were you, I'd choose one or the other but not both. One beer and one pill probably won't kill you but the key word here is....probably. You never know how your body will react.

Call a 24-hour pharmacy and speak to the pharmacist, or call your local hospital and ask to speak with a nurse, pharmacist, or physician. Either of these places have professionals who will be able to tell you if the alcohol is metabolized enough by now to take your medication. They are happy to help.

good gawd, you place your life in the hands of whatever idiot might choose to answer this? Read the bottle on your medication, if that doesnt tell you, look up possible interactions on the website of whatever company makes it.
