I help by being there for my husband and kids; by having peace and social action start in our home (as much as is possible...). I cope by understanding historical perspective on the human condition and by my faith in something bigger than me. Balancing guilt/remorse comes from doing as much as I can to leave this world better than I found it but one person cannot change the whole thing--it takes community and love. I think kindness and mercy and grace towards others and ourselves makes the world a better place.

I cope by giving my best to my wife, my child, my friends, and my job. I can't cure aids, I can't single handedly stop global warming, or homelessness. As far as death goes, I believe that it is our mortality that defines us, so I try to be/do the best I can every day.

I can't cure the world, but I can help my corner of it.

Do something to help. Give a bum 3 bucks to support his addictions.
