OK its a line from the old, old song "Moonriver".

I do think it refers to Huckleberry Finn.

I also wonder if it refers to the kind of childhood buddy that you went out berry picking and other stuff like that. Where I grew up, as kids we went out into the woods around where we lived to pick blackberries. It was a kind of adventure when we were six or seven years old.

So I always think of it as refering to the friend you went out and explored the world with--"there's such a lot of world to see"--when you two were both very young.

But that's my very personal interpretation.

Anybody agree?

It's probably a close friends you care alot about and have alot in common with.
