I am totally in love with this guy, but he is from a different state. I plan to go visit him in a few months, when I get the money, but he'll probably be coming to my state in the next 2 cause he has a friend whose dad lives here.
He's a city boy, coming from Cali but now living in suburban Colorado. I'm a country tomboy turned Southern Belle from the backwoods of East Texas. We share common interest in things such as weaponry, fighting, skateboarding and I've always wanted to surf while he already rode a few waves. But outside the guy stuff, we also love romance, kissing, cuddling and the like too.
He'll be showing me all his city stuff when I'm there, the types of things he knows. But while he's here, I want to show him the stuff I grew up doing.
So my question is, does my ideal date seem really weird? Or is it kinda cool considering I'm a country girl?

I want to take a few rifles (the only gun we're old enough to possess) and load the pickup with the ATV and go across the county line to a town that my ancestors founded. On the way there, I wanted to stop at a Subway at a gas station and grab some lunch and some drinks. Afterwards, I wanted to go to a family friend's property.
The day would entail of target practice, picking wild berries (which are good to eat), ride the trails on the four wheeler, and maybe do some fishing. Maybe, if the moment should feel right, we might even lay out a blanket next to the pond and make love. Then, we'd come back to my place and I'd dress nice (I always wear jeans and a tee with some boots to go out there) and cook him dinner instead of going out.
That's just the way I was raised. Is that weird?

We're already deeply in love. And I said if the moment feels right. I always carry a condom in my back pocket as a just in case. I haven't had sex in a while, but I still do just out of habit.

I think you have it planned out very well - just don't get your hopes up too much because most things planned don't turn out exactly as you see it. Give yourself a little emotional room, if it all works out like you see it then you will be even happier. He is one lucky guy to have someone like you. If I was a lot younger and unattached, he would have some competition for your affections. Good Luck To You, Hope all the good things in life come your way. You are NOT weird, don't change a thing.

No, it totally sounds great. My boyfriend lives an hour and a half away, and I'm a country girl, and he's closer to a city boy. I go to college close to him, but recently he came to visit me while we were on break, and I walked him around my backyard and my town and showed him what it was like to live by me.

It's really sweet and different, which is a great thing. You guys will have a stronger relationship if you learn about each other.

Sounds alright to me. You can spend a long long time getting to know what each other does and see if you can do some of it together. I hope you have fun.

Romance is not candles, or dancing or weapontry. Romance is connecting to someone , giving your all to show them you care. If you can do that on a skateboard, go for it.

Its not weird, you're both just exploring each other's interests. Pretty normal when dating.
