All you said about the hot guy was that he was hot, that suggests that you don't have a connection with him but you do with your friend, who I'm guessing isn't hot. I know this is a cliche but personality is more important than looks.

Depends how close you are to ur guy friend. Its never a good idea to date friends cause everything changes... I'd go for the hot guy if I was you and if that doesn't work at least you know you'll have someone to turn to after! :o) Good luck!

I would probably take the hot guy. Dating a friend brings about total awkwardness, and I don't want to risk ruining a perfectly good friendship.
