We support and love a church member stuck in sin. Pray and love them, ask G-d for deliverance.

Why do we just turn our snouts to gays or other sins? I know what Jesus would do. Yes, its sin....but why not love anyways? Have you ever been judged out of sin? No. Have you ever been loved out of sin? I have.

Thoughts?

Blessings,
David T

I am not debating if its a Sin..this is for Christians and the Bible says it is. Therefore we believe it is. And G-d does love you! He desires to know you personally, in your heart, not in a church building!

I wholly agree with you. It's the same with addictions. How many preachers have you heard railing on smokes and brews while he's standing behind the pulpit with a 300 pound gut hanging over his belt.

I, personally, do not see homosexuality any different that any other sin. They're ll wrong and disgusting in God's eyes.

Perhaps many Christians are like that, but I try not to be. Not all christians judge gay people. I see them as people struggling with sin just as I struggle with sin. They are no different. We are all sinners. In the worlds eyes, some sin may seem worse than others, but it Gods eyes it's all the same. That's why we ALL need Jesus!! I am a sinner.

God love everybody and he hate the sin that they do and that's how Christians should be most are not but you have to remember that we are all humans and the Bible says "a just man falls seven time "

we don't, we do, no, and huh.
Sounds pretty judgmental to me. "gays or other sins" You are David, I hope.
Other sins--I have never seen anything in this section mentioned as sin except SEXUALITY or SEXUAL PREFERENCES. oh, yeah, it is a good talking point. oh yeah, it will rile people if you write some seemingly loving tidbit that is actually a dig. sorry though it is all just becoming mouth fulls of crap. You just don't get it and hey we don't care. We are OK with our God, maybe yours needs therapy.
I think you are probably a pretty decent man, David. I was so glad that we were able to get rid of that clone.

Homosexuality is a sin. Love the sinner hate the sin. The problem with that is that homosexuals have a lifestyle of sin. It's not something that they struggle against at all. They embrace their sin and want us too accept it as normal. Every situation I've known where a Christian will calmly and rationally try to explain and help a homosexual to realize that they should repent and turn against their homosexual desires has ended with the homosexual further embracing homosexuality and acting like the Christian had threatened them. If someone refuses to listen or be open to the possibility of salvation then there is nothing I can do to help them and I don't want to be around them so I end up avoiding them.

Christians, why do we tend to judge gays, but support others in sin?

I don't =sin is sin.

You are correct. It is easier to condemn the sins that others struggle with than our own, but our sins are just as bad as theirs. For example, I'm so sick of people in the religious right, who have had multiple divorces, talk about how gays threaten the sanctity of marriage.

That is a great question - the most glaring example is the Catholic church elders. (Catholicism is a form of Christianity) There are some who support child molesters....at least being gay does not equate to harming others and destroying lives. Yes...I mean that - child molesters destroy lives.

i experience that anybody is entitled to their opinion and that i experience that this isn't what God planned to ensue, yet you're actual nonetheless a Christian in case you help gay rights. Its type of like declaring that individuals that...imagine cussing is okay are not Christian. that is ridiculous, i recognize a large number of Christians who cuss! So i imagine you're nonetheless a Christian in case you help gay rights. God will continuously decide you extremely.:-)

I don't believe that being gay is a sin but still may have some insight.

I think it is human nature to shun that which, for whatever reason, we find to be too different from ourselves. It is easier to accept and help a thief because we may be able to understand why he stole. We can accept and try to help a liar because we may be able to understand his actions and forgive. Being gay is (for whatever reason) not something that many people can relate to or understand and so it is easier to turn your back.

It is also often human nature, I think, to need someone to feel superior to in some way. It is frequently that group which we find most different from ourselves - be it a different race, different religion or different sexuality.
