I just recently bought DDR:Supernova just to have fun, but then as I put it in the system I figured why not try and lose weight and still have fun doing it... I've read other questions and answers here on yahoo, but idk if maybe I can change it up a bit....

Lately I've been goin to workout mode and doin that for at least an equivalent of 5+ hours a day.... maybe 30-45 min. straight, then rest for about 5-20 min.. if I keep this up, plus start eatin healthier and drinkin more water instead of soda (which I love), plus do 50-70 situps daily, could I expect results in at least a week?

about the soda thing..... is diet soda ok? serious question cuz if it's not, then I can go without, but if it is in fact ok, then I'm all over it!.... and if it is ok, then how many per day, cuz I usually drink..... idk..... 6 regular sodas or more a day....

Diet soda stimulate hunger. So in itself it is okay, but it reminds you of the fact that you aren't eating a lot, which can wear on you psychologically. I would go with the new 0 calorie Lipton tea packets.

DDR is tough to gage, because of the different tempos of the songs, yanno? But the rule is if you keep your heart rate between 50-70 percent of the max (something like that) for a set length of time, you'll burn fat, so the task is to find songs and play them over and over again without a break, yanno? no pause between songs. Which is why DDR isn't actually a viable form of fat-burning exercise, because that's not possible, unfortunately for you and I ^^; sorry! With soda, avoid it. It doesn't matter if it's diet or regular, it's still empty calories, or calories that don't give you health benefits. Diet drinks may actually be worse than regular, but I'm not sure if that's been proven yet haha

Good for you. Keep playing DDR and doing what you are doing. If you get bored, mix it up and try other activities, suich as biking, running, inline skating, etc...
About how fast you will lose weight, it depends on your metabolism, how overweight you are, what you eat, etc. You should start noticing results in a month. Your body will slowly lose weight, which is the best way to keep it off and to keep losing weight, so don't get impatient. If you lose weight too fast, you will have low energy and not feel good.
About pop, diet pop is ok in moderation. 6 cans a day seems like alot. Try slowly cutting down and substituting water or unsweetened iced tea, which has caffeine and is good for you.
You are on the right track, keep doing what you are doing:-)

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

Choose faster-paced types of yoga such as Ashtanga or even Vinyasa to burn more calories while also receiving a good stretch.
