Doesn't kissing someone for a long time indicate an emotional / romantic connection with them? Especially when you are not kissing for foreplay?

Truth is, "friends with benefits" is a fuzzy definition. Nobody will really admit to feelings when you're in this situation if they're afraid it will end by being open.
Its hard not to be emotional during sex or while cuddling afterwards. It might be emotional but it doesn't necessarily mean that you and the other person are compatible to start dating.

Sometimes they kiss for a long time not for foreplay because that is the only thing they are allowed to do...so they try to make it last... if you are a friend with benefit then make use of whatever benefit you have , if you benefits include sex than might as well use that it is part of the benefit....

you wouldn't kiss someone you didn't like...right? and kissing for a long time means that you enjoy kissing and what makes it more enjoyable is that you are kissing someone that you like. i think what you are trying to get from your question is whether you you should go to the level of being more than friends based on a kiss. i say yes! take it to the next level! friends with benefits are just scared of commitment. what's life without risks right. go for it! best of luck to you

not really, friends with benefits are usually the people both use to get get some during a dry spell.
Kissing length depends solely on people's preference.
