I know of an illegal alien who has a NC license (she couldn't get a digital license in NJ), and is driving around with New Jersey Plates. She has been doing this for the past year. I want to report her anonymously, because she is extremely volatile.

The law allows you in most states 30 days to register a vehicle when you move into a new state. There is a very simple solution. Write a letter to the local police Dept - address it to the Capt of Operations - explain everything you know about this person and the set of facts that lend you to believe she is committing a traffic offense and or a tax evasion offense. don't sign it. The operations Commander will then relay the infor to the traffic division and they will conduct the investigation. However understand that unless you wish to be a witness - the police are going to have to verify your information and then wait out and additional 30 days before making the charges against her

If you know the woman's name you probably could go ask a friend in the local Police Department to run the plates for you. If you are positive she is an illegal alien, you could just turn her in and give the Police her license number.

There isn't a way to do that online. But, try calling the info in to the State Police. They may or may not be interested. I doubt the Feds would be interested either.

The sad fact is that most law enforcement agencies are either being told to ignore the illegal alien problem by their local politicians (mayors or city counselors for police, county counselors or similar for sheriffs) or they are afraid of getting sued for racial profiling.

You can thank the liberal lefties for that attitude!

In my state you can look on the DMV website to find out if a plate is in use or available. If you think it is stolen, call the PD and let them know. They probably won't tell you anything, but it's worth a try.

give the report to your local police with as much info as possible-they may have an anonymous "tip line"- if not you can still make an anonymous report
