Most of the couples have "our song" but it's not an obligation :) Mostly it's a song girl chooses I'm afraid and sometimes it can be a song which accompanied a special moment just by chance. "Our song" for me and my husband is Perfect Day from Lou Reed, we played the song on our wedding while we were walking through garden to announced married. It was a song which I used to love before I met my husband and the first day we met he played it on the guitar without having any idea.

No, not all couples do. My fiance and I don't have anything we consider "our song" - not yet at least! It's usually a song that's playing at a special moment, or that one or both of you decide will be your song. It might be something special that you burn to a CD and give to the other person, or that you first dance to, or you might particularly connect with its lyrics.

Our song is Little Moments - Brad Paisley

On out first date (which was my birthday) he took me out to a beautiful restaurant out of town and we went to a movie together. On our way back home i went through his CD case and found a random country music CD. When i listened to the song i felt he was singing about us. Since then it just became "our song"

I think most "relationships" have a "song"... it just happens when your mind links a good time (or bad time) with a song that was playing at that time (or for lyrical reasons)... at least that's how it works for me. It's funny because my husband and I have a couple songs that are "MY SONG"... each reminds me of a different part in our relationship. when we first met (embodyment- one less addiction)... when we fought (ministry - senor peligro)... when we discussed marriage (lonestar - amazed)... when we had our first child (live - heaven)... there isn't a single time when I can hear any of those songs and not recall a certain-specific time... blessing and a curse I suppose.

"You are my sunshine" is most important to both of us, making it "our song", because it's the very first song my husband sang to me, and also the first song our daughter sang to us and #1 in defining our love.

You can't just make a song important... it just happens...

OMG It's when a couple dances usually and then that song becomes "there song". If you ask a girl to dance and you become boyfriend and girlfriend you can look back to that first dance and then you can say that is your song.

Most couples that I know have an "our song". I got mine when we heard a special song on our first date, and the words were very romantic. Now it is labelled "our song".

I know a few couples who don't have a song. My b/f and I have a few songs that we love, and that remind us of special times, for example one night I had taken him out for dinner and there was a pianist playing at the restaurant, he played "Iris" by the GooGoo Dolls, and that became one of "our songs"

Not every couple have to have a song.Well my husband and i have Stabbing Westward ( i think that's right) What Do I Have To Do. To be "our song" it touched us in a way that left a lasting memory in mind. When we hear it, we can't help but smile at each other.Of course your going to have special memories, it would be that one that would just stand out. That touches you whole heart and soul.

My best friend and I's song is
"My Best Friend" By Tim McGraw, basically it describes how we feel toward each other :D But we also have tons more that we think of as "ours". I don't think all couples (or in my case best friends) need a song, it just depends
