Bible says so? Like ok, but who says the Bible is true? You say God says it is true right? Well how do we know that god says the Bible is true? Oh cuz the Bible says so? Hmmm. Circular reasoning?

The problem is christians don't understand that what they are doing is circular. They start with a belief in god, and belief that the bible is gods word, and so don't see the illogic in using a thing to prove itself.

Despite what some nimrod above me said, archeology in fact shows that most of the events recorded in the bible never happened. There is no evidence of a nation of Israel, Moses, David, Abraham, Jesus. None at all.

There is both pro- and con- proves about the Bible reliability. Both by so-called experts on the field. Even today, it's hard to prove that something happened the way it was recorded (same news, same images, different edition giving them a completely different context, message and meaning.)

Any belief, any fact, any idea does not have any meaning unless it happens to you. The reason many people believe in God and the Bible is because, according to their lives, God and the facts in the Bible are true, these dogmas make sense with their existences. Religion is not just supernatural stories, it is also a way of life.

Many people believe in science for the same reason. Things that certain science says can be proved within the universe around them. You can perfectly prove Newton's laws work at your home right now even thought they have been proved to be lies, effective over-generalizations that were not considering forces and laws that were unknown back then. Just read XVII century biology books and laugh as you think that people actually lived under those ideas just because they were "scientific."

In other words, people believe in something not because it can be proved that it was, it is and it always will be truth, but because it works for them.

I chose to believe. There has been so much proof and evidence that the bible is the word of God. Look at History. Look at the discovery of the dead sea scrolls. Yes the bible was written by men, but under the anointing at the Holy Spirit. I have the Holy Spirit, and when I get something from God like a dream, vision or any other I will write it down, exactly how it happened, nothing more, nothing less. So what makes you so sure these men did not Have God's spirit poured out upon them? The truth is they did. accept it and move on.

You might be surprised that the Bible doesn't suffer to prove GOD. It is a statement of HIS existence..."In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. ... " is the opening statement of the Bible, but just a few examples...an evolutionist would roughly argue that matter over time fused in the right quantities and conditions to become the universe...what would be the probability that rubber glass and metal composites under suitable conditions would fall together into a car? Silly, huh?
Science points towards an intelligent creator, isn't easier to look around you and conclude that all that's around is not out of chance but designed by GOD?

good question. however i follow the Bible. but i did not use it to say God exist. i get that just from thinking about everything and how obvious it is. The Bible just backs me up. it says we are without excuse in not knowing God. because everything around us is evidance. my life has changed for the good when i turned it around. not for the worse. but for the better. i am blessed now with stuff that never happend before. and i am a lot happier. there are also many things that happen in Jesus name like aids being healed completly that just shows that there is a God. the Bible teaches us more in depth and how to be saved. i mean before they new the world was round they thought it was flat, but the Bible said it was round. as well as hot spots in the water and deep caves. the Bible talked about them as well and well now we know they are there. there are people who believe there is a God without having a Bible.

Many recorded events that are in the Bible have been closely supported by evidence discovered by archaeological finds.

Even geologists have done studies that appear to be supporting evidence of certain events that are recorded in the Bible. Such as; the parting of the Red Sea.

Even though; I personally feel that the translation of the Bible is debatable and the possibility of unintentional changes occur over the vast amount of time, I feel the basic elements of truth have withstand the winds of time.

stupid question. The bible is the very foundation of our faith. attempting to teach God exist without the bible could like development a house and not utilising a commencing up, until you bypass all Elijah and contact down hearth from the sky. i could answer with a query, what could you different than as evidence. additionally we are able to not teach the existence of God purely He can exhibit His existence. that's as much as Him no remember if He shows Himself. Christians have no administration over Him or what He chooses to do. additionally we are able to not teach the existence if God purely He teach his existence to a guy or woman. that's His option to bare Himself. we have no administration over Him or what He does.

No one is forcing you to believe. I believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of God and creator of the universe in the flesh, and that's my choice.

As a Catholic, we have more than just the Bible. We have sacred oral and written Tradition and the witness of the ones who knew Jesus personally and died rather than renounce their belief that Jesus rose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and is the eternal Son of God made flesh. We also have faith and reason.

I know that you won't pick my answer because it's not what you wanted to hear. But like I said, you make your choice, and I will make mine. I choose to be saved by God's mercy and grace through His Church, the Catholic Church.

Believing is done because you respect the person telling you to believe. Faith in God comes from hearing the Word. We were all born of God. To see his word in writing or hearing the words, will awaken your spirit, and you will seek God. But until that day comes, you will not seek nor find God.
For your faith 200300 days Daniel 12:12
