age means nothing, just watch out for when he turns 18 though, laws kinda can make things a problem, you know?

Just be his friend but keep him at a safe distance. I don't think there is anything a 14 yr old can have in common w/ a 17yr old...he will be 18 next year or maybe even this year..here's a test: be his FRIEND (no kissing or touchy stuff like that) and see how it goes. Since I'm thinking he is just seeing if he can get sex out of you, if he does ask you about it of course say no but see if he's still your "friend".. And if he goes running in the other direction after you've told him NO now see how much you "like each other for who you are" as you put it..don't mean to sound BLUNT or MEAN but I'm 22 so I 've seen people go through stuff like this when I was younger

That's right, age is just a number but I think if you are 16 and he is 19. Your friends won't say he is too old but I think you are too young to date because dating is very complicated. I would wait until you turn 16.

age ain't nothin but a number...but it depends if he is ready to be commited to a 14 year old girl...do what you want to do! You can't help who you like and nobody knows if you guys could work out or not only god knows.

Until he turns 18. That age difference is huge now, but if you can become friends and wait a few years, the difference doesn't matter as much.

You may think he's your prince. But PLEASE give yourself some time to experience life before you decide you've met your perfect match. Age is just a number, yes. However, it also depends on the number of life's many experiences one has had.

That's not too bad of a difference. But the thing is that he's almost a man and you're still a kid.

it seems like alot right now..you need to be carefull about it but its not to old later. Just make sure you know what your getting into and that he isn't trying to trick you into something you don't want to do. that would be my only advice.

If you have sex and lets pretend you get pregnant, your parents will probably against your will charge him with statuary rape. So it isn't a good idea. And then he will go to jail too.
