This is for right-handed players, if you are a lefty, everything is opposite.

Fades move slightly to the right. In order for it not to be a slice, it has to be controllable by the golfer.

Draws move slightly to the left. Again, the player is controlling the shot. An uncontrolled shot spiralling off to the left is a hook.

A draw is sort of the first plateau of skilled shots, meaning that most beginners usually have the ball slicing off to the right, so when you can get the ball to turn left, then at least you have conquered the slice.

A draw will go further than a fade, particularly into the wind. There is a little bit of topspin on a draw, which means the ball rolls more when it lands.

2 of the best players ever, Nicklaus and Tiger, play fades. Fades are advantageous over draws because they fly higher and land softer, with more backspin than a draw. So they can make more accurate shots into greens. This advantage really becomes accentuated in the hardest tournaments (majors) because the greens are hardest and fastest in majors, particularly the US Open.

But the simple answer is, draw moves a little to the left during flight, fade moves a little to the right.

A fade is a shot the goes from left to right a draw goes from right to left both shots are subtle a true draw or fade only goes about 10 yards from the target then works towards it.

great question madhavi:) yOU know though these words sound synonimous but still there lies a "deep" difference !! Happiness can be found of things which may not even be beneficial to our spiritual or psychological aspect like we may go out & have our favourite dish & clothes etc., we would feel happy. But satisfaction comes from a kind of achievent, if we get good grades in studies we would get a positive feeling that says "hard word paid off" now thats more beneficial isn't it ;p[ Now peace.... I think it depends on what attitude we adopt towads the "activities" we do for "happiness" or either "satisfaction", peace actually exist in our self, it just has to be found by us. A person of ignorance might feel peace while a hard worker could be strresed. It can be even oposite to that . So peace needs to found by us.

The difference is simple. After striking the ball, the ball does 5 things. 1) Straight 2) Hook 3)slice 4)Fade 5) draw
Right handed golfer...
Hook way left, a draw is a controled hook (i.e. left)
Slice = way right..a fade is a controled slice (i.e. right)

Left handed golfer switch it.

fade is when your ball floats to the right, draw is to the left

Fade starts left but curves right
Draw starts right but curves left, both are good . Its the slice( waaay right) and the hook (waaaay left ) that are bad.

a fade is when the ball goes off to the left and when it draws it goes right and the ball has enough backspin that it will sort of seem to come backword but it still goes foward.
