I have had an LG 42" plasma for over a year now, has never given me any problems. Burn in is not as bad a problem as people try to make it out to be. I came home from work and found my friend had fallen asleep and left the static menu of a DVD on for about 4 hours, there was some ghost affect on the screen, but it cleaned up using the white screen feature and now there is no trace of burn in.

Panasonic plasmas were second in effortless words to the Kuro gadgets for decades in a large number of of the "Editors selection" and "better of the 12 months" articles interior the magazines. in case you've been searching at liquid crystal exhibit - samsung or sony should be correct manufacturers, yet Panasonic looks to do a million aspect nicely: plasmas. opt for it. Amazon is first rate - yet try a procuring evaluation website like Shopzilla or purchase and study what the ranges are. And dont ignore that very last years outstanding fashions are literally discounted for the the hot. compared to attempting to restore the themes with liquid crystal exhibit - there has not been tremendous variations in Plasma because it truly is already so good. Hit your library for Dec/Jan themes of the evaluation magazines.

I would get a LCD. Forget plasma. Panasonic is good with all its product. But Lg is the leading LCD brand. Stick with Panasonic but make sure it is a LCD.

Pioneer Elite, then Panasonic, then LG, then Samsung.

However, I would go for the Sony Bravia XBR LCD HDTV.

Plasmas will burn in a picture if held for some time.
Check into DLPs, they have much finer pictures and do not suffer from the burn in problem...
