She's just been called to the hospital to perform an emergency appendectomy but her period just started and she has to be apart for 7 days. Leviticus 15:19-21

What should she do?

19: And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
20: And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.
21: And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

Many Christian women perform regular employment duties even during their time of the month. In the old days hygiene was more difficult achieve which is why these rules were setup. In the modern day world we have better resources to ensure that we are not "unclean." Jesus did not reiterate any of these old rules in the New Testament. That should tell you something as well.

1. Working during menstruation is not a sin.
2. Don't take everything you read that literal. Ancient writings are not scientific. They use a lot of metaphors that made sense to people back then so they would get the message.
3. If you're still doubting, remember one must act according to the greater good, and everything you do for someone else you're doing it to God Himself.
