What will happen if we break the rules? I know that saying "God will not judge us because he is loving and tolerant." is breaking the 2nd commandment. So what will become of those who break the rules and dont care???

We would all be condemned if God judged us by the 10 commandments. The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short. The ONLY thing that will redeem us from judgment is the blood of Jesus! That is why he came to earth and shed his holy blood for us! So that men, even though sinful could be reconciled to God. All we have to do is receive the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. God will judge us. The Bible says that ALL must stand before the throne and give an account of what was done while still in the body. Those that do not care to receive the blood of Jesus as atonement for sin will have to pay for their own sin. Why do this when the Lord has already paid for our sins? Anyway, God will judge because He is just and righteous and holy. So if we do not accept the sacrifice already made for us, we will have to pay ourselves for our sins.

You should have posted this in the gay/lesbian/transgendered section. You'd probably get the answer you're looking for there.
All you'll get here is trolls saying there is no God. If someone breaks the rules in anything, they always lose. It always works out that way. It may take some time, but they always lose in the end. Anyone that thinks they can do whatever they want and get away with it is dreaming. God doesn't work that way either. And if you do really bad things, there is a punishment in this world (and plenty of it) as well as in the next.

all are found guilty if judged according to the ten commands. But God does not judge according to that measure, but according to his promise that he has given all eternal life, that is why no one need fear, God has promised the world that they have eternal life provided freely with no obligation.

So those who break the rules and don't care will one day be no more rule breakers and will care, for the rules will be taken away, and who they are revealed to them.

Eternally? Well, there is two options: heaven or hell. God says the only way to heaven is through him. If you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and you confess with your mouth that He is Lord, then you shall be saved. So His forgiveness for breaking the ten commandments (just some of Gods rules) comes from the ressurection of His Son, Jesus. If you disobey the ten commandments and do not ask for forgiveness or accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you pick the second option for eternity.

Rule breakers will be judged according to their sinful nature and desires. 2 Cor. 5:10 We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. John 3:16-18 God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Well, the ten commandments fall in the old testament. They are the basis for all of the rules and guidlines the Bible spells out. However in the new testament Jesus died on the cross for everyone's sins. As it states all who accept Jesus as the savior and are baptised are able to receive forgiveness from God. Say you killed someone. You broke the commandment Thou shall not kill. If you look into yourself and truly want forgiveness and change your heart and ask god for forgiveness your sins can be forgiven. If you break the rules and do not care do not seek that forgiveness, you shall be cast into the abyss with satan. It takes a change of heart and true faith to be saved.

i got this response to an answer i gave on question earlier today from a christian......

"Melanie T, ever since Jesus Christ came, we follow the New Testament."

it was directed at me so i think i have the right to use it.
if the old testament is no longer relevant than the 10 commandments are no longer relevant either as they are part of the old testament.

Jesus only mentions 5 of them in "Mark 10"
