Get a quality one from a reputable show breeder. If you skimp and get a cheap one most likely it will end up being more expensive with vet bills, since it was probably bred by a backyard breeding seeking profit. Make sure it is AKC also.

You'd be better off buying from a Breeder that shows Long Haired Chihuahuas and you'd be paying a lot less. Most puppies in Pet Shops come from Puppy Mills. Which equals poor breeding which equals poor health. Most pet shop prices for dogs are double what you can get from a breeder. So, no. NOT a good price.

it depends on where you are and what type of chihuahua you are looking for. If you are after a purebred in NSW Australia, they range from anywhere between $500.00 (pet quality) to $1,200.00 as far as I know (that is the most expensive I have heard of and that is for top quality show dogs that breeders were selling)

It depends on where you buy one. It is not advisable to buy one at a pet shop or from a backyard breeder. Go to a reputable breeder where you will get a better quality dog. The cost varies from breeder to breeder. To find a reputable breeder, go to the Chihuahua Club of America.

our breeder charges anywhere from 350.00 and up. she has good quality dogs and only breeds chihuahuas. nothing else . If it is a long hair you should not pay anymore for it than you would a short coated one . Good luck and I hope I helped.

long hair is nice but requires maintenance and u have to grow this out for a long time

I prefer hair which is shoulder length or longer, As well as since that men who like females are more often then not directly, they like long hair because this looks more feminine, as most males have short hair.
