I have had at least 30 removed without medical need. I just dont like the way they appear on my skin, and the older I get, the more I get. Just dont count on your insurance company to pay. I have about 10 removed a year. Go to the dermatologist and tell him you want them removed and he will be glad to help you out if you can pay him.

Yes! How easily one can remove them depends on how deep and large the mole is. Some dermatologists will do it for you... but this will probably not be covered under your insurance. (since it would be for cosmetic reasons) If you have a surface mole and it's small, you can do it yourself! (warning) First you want to clean the skin, and then numb the skin with ice. Then sterilize a needle/small knife and carve out the mole yourself (hopefully it's a small small mole... don't try on a large and deep rooted ones). After you're done, you have to make sure it's clean and dry to prevent infection. I don't recommend this, but I've done it before on my smaller moles, and it's actually quite easy. Once the scab disappears, the mole is either gone or very light.

Most insurance company's will not pay for removing them if it is not medically necessary. So that might be something you want to check out, before proceeding. Also if any of the moles have changed or look different, please go to the doctor, as it could be a sign of skin cancer, I don't say this to scare you, but my daughter had a mole on her back, that changed and started to get bigger, She passed away from Melanoma three years later. Don't fool around with this.

Sure, go see your primary care physician. If it is small they might even do it themselves. Or see a Dermatologist or a plastic surgeon.

Sure, I had one on my face removed. It was small but bothered me. It's easy and quite painless.
