Salvation is the "saving" of a sinner from the righteous judgment of God.
When someone appeals to God and seeks forgiveness in Jesus, his sins are forgiven. He is cleansed. His relationship with God is restored, and he is made a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17). All of this is the work of God, not man. Salvation is a free gift (Rom. 6:23).

All you need t believe is in Christ that he walked the earth, died n the cross went to hell and rose to again to give us a seat in heaven. Wash a way all our sins and at this point we no longer a bound by the ten commandments but through our walk w/ him we want to live that way. Salvation is just the begin. When he died on the cross and went to hell for us it sealed the deal all you do is believe the things that follow i can not explain.

I don't know how you can be saved if you hold a grudge against anyone.
Jesus said, "If you don't forgive others, then your father in Heaven will not forgive you."
I believe Jesus' words are very clear and to the point.
Paul and other early church leaders gave several roads to salvation, but I can't see how any of them could really work unless you follow Jesus' message. (above)
Added: "to believe in him" certainly means to believe in his (Jesus') message. --
But most Religious Empires will accept you if you simply believe Paul's plan for salvation.

It's almost so easy, people don't believe it, but this is what you need to believe:
The Son of God, Jesus came into the world to take the punishment for our sin.
All we have to do is accept this gift sincerely. Ask Jesus to forgive you for your sin and believe that He has and thank Him for it.
Jesus said "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16
That's all! Pretty amazing isn't it!! I hope you make that choice tonight!!

What does it mean to be a born again Christian? The classic passage from the Bible that answers this question is John 3:1-21. The Lord Jesus Christ is talking to Nicodemus, a prominent Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin (a ruler of the Jews). Nicodemus had come to Jesus at night. Nicodemus had questions to ask Jesus.
As Jesus talked with Nicodemus, He said "...Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again...." (John 3:3-7).
The phrase "born again" literally means "born from above." Nicodemus had a real need. He needed a change of his heart--a spiritual transformation. New birth, being born again, is an act of God whereby eternal life is imparted to the person who believes (2 Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:3; 1 John 2:29; 3:9; 4:7; 5:1-4, 18). John 1:12,13 indicates that "born again" also carries the idea "to become children of God" through trust in the name of Jesus Christ.
The question logically comes, "Why does a person need to be born again?" The Apostle Paul in Ephesians 2:1 says, "And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins..." To the Romans in Romans 3:23, the Apostle wrote, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." So, a person needs to be born again in order to have their sins forgiven and have a relationship with God.
How does that come to be? Ephesians 2:8,9 states, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast." When one is "saved," he/she has been born again, spiritually renewed, and is now a child of God by right of new birth. Trusting in Jesus Christ, the One who paid the penalty of sin when He died on the cross, is what it means to be "born again" spiritually. "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation..." (2 Corinthians 5:17a).
If you have never trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, will you consider the prompting of the Holy Spirit as He speaks to your heart? You need to be born again. Will you pray the prayer of repentance and become a new creation in Christ, today? "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe on His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:12-13).
If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and be born again, here is a sample prayer. Remember, saying this prayer or any other prayer will not save you. It is only trusting in Christ that can save you from sin. This prayer is simply a way to express to God your faith in Him and thank Him for providing for your salvation. "God, I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life! Amen!

To become a real Christian, we are told that we must HEAR the WORD in John 6:45, Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God. Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” We are also told so in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are told the we must BELIEVE in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We are also told so in Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” and in John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. We are told that we must REPENT (or turn from sin) in Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Also in Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We are also told in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. We are to be BAPTIZED according to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We are to CONTINUE to be FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH according to Revelation 2:10c Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. We also know that Paul wrote in Romans 14:12 each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is important that we not ignore what is written, change what is written, or add to what is written in the New Testament which is our Christian Guide. Have a great week.

The account found at Luke13:22-14:6 where a man asks Jesus "Lord, are those who are being saved few?"Jesus replies:"Exert yourselves vigorously(that is,struggle or agonize)to get in throught the narrow door."
Such a vigorous effort is urgent "because many,"Jesus continues,"will seek to get in but will not be able".Why won't they be able?He explains that once the householder has got up and locked the door and people stand outside and knock saying,"Sir open to us",he will say:"I do not know where you are from.Get away from me,all you workers of unrighteousness."
The ones locked out apparently come at a time convenient only to themselves. But by then the door of opportunity is shut and bolted. To get in they should have come earlier, even though at the time it may have been inconvenient to do so.Indeed a sad outcome awaits those who put off making the worship of Jehovah their chief purpose in life.
There is no easy road to salvation. It is gained only by streneous endeavour, for the Bible's exhortation is "Keep working out your own salvation with fear and trembling"(Phil2:12)
Taking in knowledge is the first vital step, and on this point Jesus stated "For this means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you,the only true God,and of the one whom you sent forth,Jesus Christ(John3:16)So,the first step on the way to salvation is study of the Bible, because it is God's book and in it he tells us what he requires of us if we are to benefit from his provision.
Which leads to the second requirement.Faith based on Bible knowledge cannot be distinguished unless it produces results."As the body without breath is dead,"said the Bible writer James,"so faith without works is dead"(Jas2:26)So,whatever knowledge we gain from Bible study should be applied in a practical manner to our lives.
We would also need to watch our association. As 1Cor15:33 warns us that "bad association spoil useful habits"
Having begun to make his mind over through study and application of God's word to his life and by means of godly companionship, the seeker after salvation next needs to turn his attention to the service commanded by Christ Jesus "Go therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations....teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you."(Matt.28:19,20)
Participation in preaching and teaching God's word is vitally related to your salvation. That is why the Apostle Paul could declare:"With the heart one exercise faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation."(Rom.10:10).
All this would then lead you to take another important step necessary to your salvation. And that is the step of dedication.Dedication means that gratitude to Jehovah for all his loving provisions for your salvation moves you to offer yourself to him, without any restrictions,to do his will.In taking this course, you follow the perfect example of Jesus, who also offered himself to the heavenly Father, ready to carry out the special will of God for him.(Matt.3:13-17;Heb.10:5-10)
.And as he did,so you also mark this offering of yourself to God by an outward ceremony, giving testimony to others of your decision. You offer yourself for baptism.(Acts2:41,8:12,18:8)
The reward of salvation in all its fullness surpasses our fondest imagination. With such a wonderful reward ahead, there is reason to suffer,if need be,and to endure patiently. If you would like to study the Bible consider going to your local kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. They would be only too happy to conduct a free home bible study and put you on the road to salvation.
