He stalked me for three years. He said I liked him. I denied. At one point when I said I did like him he turned cold and almost stopped talking to me.
Why did this happen?

Simple. You lied to him for three years, pretending he was stalking you with no interest on your part, and then he was vindicated. He needed some time to be mad.

because he is freaking wierd... get away from guys like that, that harass you about something and then back off from you...
he's immature, find a reliable guy.
also if he was stalking you while you were friends what do you think would happen if you went out? he would prolly be really controlling.

He sounds really young. He sounds like he likes the cat and mouse game and you are the mouse. When you said you liked him you reverse the rolls on him and he just didn't like it. If you are interested in him pull him aside away from his friends and ask him what does he want from you. If he wants to play games let him and leave him alone.

it the chase that he was doing , now that you have stop and
and let him catch you, he does not want it, that sometime happen
