You can get patterns for your dogs at most fabric stores. Just ask the clerks and they will help you. Try eBay patterns or you can take the measurements of your dogs and go to a second hand store, find a dress that would fit them that you like and make a pattern by taking it apart and tracing the pieces on paper, number the pieces and put notches where they join just like a regular patter. Remember to modify the pattern to clear the back underside so that your dog can relieve itself without soiling the garment. Do not put your dogs tail through a hole in the garment either, make the dress short enough to allow a free wag. Please make sure your pet has lots of room to move and does not get over heated. The fabric shop can recommend breathable, washable material to suit your needs. This is a challenge but you can create something that is a style suitable to your pets personality. If you find your pet does not like being dressed up don't force them. Some like it some don't. Good luck.

There is a wonderful website called G. W. Little. They have some of the CUTEST outfits. (I have to confess that I did what one of your other answers suggested, bought a far less expensive dress and took it apart for a pattern and then used some of the cute ideas from the "pricier" web sites.).
Good luck!

They have some easy patterns for dogs. You can adjust if needed to fit your own. And of course use the basic pattern as the foundation and add to it (ruffles etc) to make the kind of outfit you want. good luck

That's a good question, I was wondering that myself.

If you don't end up finding one, maybe you can buy a cheap dog outfit and dismember it and make a pattern out of it...
