In Vancouver BC, many homes are built for Hong Kong Chinese based on Fung Shui. Now considering that proper design is said to bring prosperity and other things, I would say it works.
Most homes are large and the residents fairly wealthy as is a good portion of the Hong Kong Chinese in Vancouver and most firmly believe in the use of Fung Shui.
If you explore Fung Shui, and then look at homes said to be haunted or just feel bad - most of these homes go against Fung Shui design.
Personally, I plan to use Fung Shui principals throughout the design of my next home - can't hurt and I believe the principals improve a healthy home environment.

If you hire a person who knows about this stuff, it will work. It's mainly about your inner mind thinking of change, which makes you change.
