Eat more, and more often. Exercise, too. I gained quite a bit of weight (about 15-20 pounds, but I grew an inch or two as well...) from taking up rowing. My coaches always made sure I ate plenty (and lots of peanut butter) so that I could get stronger and more muscular.
Oh, and I wouldn't trust the powders... they might work, but I'm not sure how healthy they are. And whatever you do, don't do the fast food thing...

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

before you exercise, drink lots of Gatorade. It helps develop muscles which add weight. Also, be sure to eat food that are high in calories but are still nutritious, such as bread and fish. You can do simple things to increase the calories, like adding avocados to sandwiches or salads, or adding meat to salads. And, maybe you are just exercising too much!

dont worry about it, but just eat a bit more. but when you get 30 your metabalism changes or slows down so think of it as a blessing. Make sure to stay hydrated, water and milk. rice and beans along with a good diet. you should beable to put on 5-10. If you excersise, you build muscle and muscle weighs more than fatty tissue.

Put on the weight quick but just work out some while drinking the shakes so you can add some muscle and not all fat.

Count your blessings because overtime you will gain weight. Eat nutritious but keep your portions big and gradually you will gain some additional pounds.
