Pinched nerves don't hurt a bit. they hurt A LOT. Plus, it causes numbness, tingling, and shooting pains in the area because the nerve is being agravated. Surgery is the only solution, I have pinched nerves in my back, and they haven't been fixed yet (I have a high pain tolarence, seeing as I have been in pain every day for 6 years, and pinched nerves are a *****). You should try to ice your neck for 10 min, too much ice will begin to hurt and it isn't good for your body in large amounts. Once you're done icing, stretch your neck a little bit and maybe alternate with a heating pad. Heating pads are the best. I hope this helped. If it continues for a large amount of time, consider seeing a doctor. But for now, try motrin and alternating hot and cold :)

The only thing that can help a pinched nerve is surgery to release the nerve.
