How are some people SO SMALL? I am just wondering.. I have 2 kids under 3 - am a stay at home mom - I simply CANNOT go to the gym ... I have no one to watch the kids for me and my hubby works a lot of hours. I live in a small town and the only gym that would be open late or have daycare services would be in the next town ..an hours drive. Plus honestly I don't have the money for a gym membership and a baby sitter. It's so frustrating to see other people doing so well staying small after kids. I have NEVER been "small" but I have never been "fat" either. I am 5'5 135pds. I wear an 8 in pants and small in shirts. (some say this is fat others would say this is skinny.. you know) I have been this size since I was 13. I know after two kids to be the same size I am doing pretty well ... but oh how I would LOVE to be a 4 or even get down to a 6. I count calories- pilates (40 mins) and stair step (15 min) every day this is about all the time I seem to be able to squeeze in.

Squats can help that area. But the way you describe yourself i would think you look fine.

Without you able to go to the gym, it will be hard. Have you consider looking for a gym that has a free child care while you work out? If I were you I would just keep working out at home (maybe spend a little more time on it a couple days a week) and possibly take a fat burner. I know they are not always good for you, but you don't really have many options. Have you ever been "little" in your life? Sometimes no matter what "bigger" people just CANNOT get small a natural way.

You don't need a gym. You do need to have a routine that you will stick to(the same as going to a gym- that is a routine) and there are more exercises you can do. Skip rope is a big calorie burner and takes no space. Situps, active aerobics. House work with the radio. Eat good food - veges, low fat meat(protein), beans,(veg protein). Cut back trying to eliminate pre-processed and packaged meals(they have excess salt(water retention), hidden fats and sugars. Cut out completely fast foods - too much fats, sugars, highly processed carbs. Eat more whole grain brown breads,.
Drink water and tea. Stay away from pop.

Junk in the trunk - lucky you!!

For the record, I think you sound fabulous. But I understand that desire to be just a little smaller.

Usually I would suggest Pilates, but hmmmmm.

Is there a more difficult form of Pilates you could do? A more advanced version?

Otherwise, I think your best bet is to do serious weight training/resistance training. get some dumb bells and some ankle weights and work really hard to build muscle. If the problem area is your hips and thighs, try doing 200 squats a day.

Good luck

Your BMI is 22.4, which is healthy for your height. If you want to lose fat, I would do what I did, drop you calorie intake from 2,500 to less than 1,000 a day. This may sound unhealthy, but it isn't as long as you take multivitamins daily and drink plenty of water. This diet may not work for you, it did work for me however. I ate one small bowl of Total for breakfast, one small salmon cup for lunch, and one small bowl of Total for dinner. I lost 40 lbs in 5 months. I also worked out every day. (But I was 20lbs overweight when I did this.) Good luck on whatever you decide to do!

I loved thick thighs and wide hips, very womanly and motherly, you're probably a total milf... keep excercising but don't beat yourself up over not being a 4, guys probably drool over you and you're too busy to notice. The grass is always greener on the other side any way. Be happy with who you are.

What your doing should be enough. Take the kids to a park for a walk every day. It'll be good for both of you.

Size depends on genetics and diet so exercise can only do so much and judging on the measurements that you gave your pretty small so I wouldnt worry so much.
