Pregnancy in the dog lasts approximately 63 days. The normal due date can be about 1 week either side of the predicted 63 days. In cases of large litters, length is usually lessened. In cases of small litter numbers, length may increase.

Have the dogs been tested for genetic issues? GEneral health okay? Wormed? Any titles in anything like show or obedience? Any reason for breeding? I'm only asking because it seems like you didn't do much research before deciding to breed - the questions you are asking are usually answered long before a decision to breed is made. Heat is three weeks long and they are receptive at certain times during the heat. Not sure which times, though. Usually stud fees are either money payments, pick of the litter, or both i believe. Can't be sure since i don't breed but it may also be different depending on what the guy with the stud dog wants. It should have been set BEFORE you put the dogs together.
