Hi Midge,
I am sorry. I just got home. I love you and I don't even know you. Have a great Lord's Day.

I wonder the same thing and lately since Jett's death I have been trying to learn what I can about scientology just to find something, anything I could relate to that would show me why people are so gullible and nuts to believe in such garbage. Although scientology is corrupt in every way imaginable, hubbard was a great business man to a certain extent. I think, they prey on insecurities and many celebrities suffer from lots of insecurities, which is why they are targeted along with the fact they have the most money. And some do get the wake up call but for many it is too late, they have everything on you and I mean everything and can destroy you which we all know they have proven that time and time again. For me, I still don't get it, being a celebrity they have the money and power but insecurities are hard to get rid of and unfortunately for many that is what controls them. I think if everyone never watched any movies that had stars in it that were into scientology that could be a good start, as more and more celebrities are joining which the latest are Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and they are trying desperately for Jessica Alba, that is just to name a few. It is a little scary that they have people in every single thing from IRS and govt offices to burger king and are trying to get all with money and power. Gee I wonder why??? They really do need to be stopped.

You are saying a generalized statement that does not include everyone. I went back and read your other question. I would have to say that the account was about Jesus and not so much about them. Yes they died the same way but it was for their own sins. Jesus died for our sins. As far as their families being there or not- they probably were not their because they were thieves and being put to death for it. the family probably did not want any repercussions from being there. As for your statement 'you will know them by their love' nobody is perfect, although some think that they are, as some- yes even Christians- say things that they wished they had not spoke, or typed later. I am not justifying saying whatever you want to say, but I am just saying most people work, fight traffic and get on here as a way to unwind. Sometimes they slip up and say things they shouldn't.

First responder, regrettably, is correct. You are more likely to receive intelligent responses from a well-phrased question -- one which is not simply a screed for or against some particular religion (or lack thereof). But many questions that show up here are simply proselytization, and they deserve the scorn that many, including me, give them.

Hopefully most of us are getting ready for church tomorrow. Funny I say that and I am still up. There are more athiest or people from other religions in this world than actual Christians. We will always be outnumbered. That is why the field is ripe for the harvest.

Because this is the internet. Anonymity really helps the nuts come out of the woodwork. The internet will never represent an accurate cross-section of humanity; it is too easy to act without consequence.

Because (from what I've personally seen and expericenced) most "Christians" do not live up to the high standards of their Faith.

LOL.
Get used to Y!A. No matter what religion (or lack of religion) you are, most people on here are rude and ignorant.
Including myself, at times!
