It depends on what state you are getting it in, if you are getting it legally. In most states you have to be 18, some you can be 16 or 17. And some will let you get them as young as 15 with a parent present and signing a form saying that it is okay. In Michigan it is 18, 17 with parental consent

No its 18. If any tattoo shop gives you a tattoo before you are 18 it can be closed down and in a lot of trouble. I got my first tattoo at 16. But legally in UK you need to be 18.

In Australia it's 18, but any tattoo studio will have the age requirements posted in view. PS. there is a spell check at the top of the box.

I think every state requires that you be an adult, so age 18 and up. I don't think they allow parental consent on tattoos, only things like ear peircings.
