SPONDYLOLISTHESIS is the correct spelling. When it (slipping or bulging of the intervertebral disc) occurs at the level of L5S1 it is responsible for pressure on the corresponding nerve roots .....and this is responsible for the sciatica. You will have pain and numbness in the area of distribution of the sciatic nerve.

You have several other pathological problems .

My suggestion is : keep your confidence in your doctors and keep taking your medication regularly.

Best of luck.

Truthfully, some in the medical profession don't believe in fibromyalgia. Not to say you don't have pain, but there is an extrinsic source and there is no such thing as "fibro" so your doctor basically gave up on you. If you did have an MRI and it was examined by both a radiologist and a neuro I'd say you have a chance.

Once again, I am going to reiterate I don't doubt your pain.
But, the problem is so many are on disability for back pain or fibro that you will get rejected the first time I've heard.

Also, I'd say it depends on severity, simply because other people live with the conditions you do have to a lesser degree.
Basically you have inflammation and pinching of your back nerves. Where did you work before? How much do you weigh?
Are you in therapy? Do you exercise (probly not too much with those back problems, but if you do kudos).

You should be on prednisone or at the very least NSAIDS.

Get a lawyer for your disability claim, and it should be a good one.

Check here a very effective Sciatica Natural Treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

i accept what you say that every time old theories disproved and new theories comesup. please compare the this age/time and the age of Albert Einstein lived. we have many opportunites in the modern technology and those are the days the scientists like newton, einstein have no such modern technologies and they have done maximum with the available technology. we know the old cenemas were taken with a single black and white cameras for which they mostly believed the sunlight and recorded the diologues in the same film rolls, but due to change of modern technology, we are seeing the modern technology in films with the latest 1 crore worth modern camera where there is no necessary to record own voice or songs and just shooting is enough. The film editor doing all works and presenting the film according to the scenes, situations and story. so, time is changing. opportunities are increasing, but the girl found the new theory only from the old theory and disputes. This is now in dispute stage only and not finalised. she lectures what she found. That is interesting. Most appreciatable. She herself accepted that her theory may also be disputed when someone on later stage found something differing what she says now. we know what is newton's law and theory of Eistein and now we know what the girl is disputing. The theories found by the newton and einstein was after several researches and after several years which was now disputed by a 14 year old girl. we saw mathematics supreme Ramanujam in his early age which was accepted by the whole world. so, there is no wonder if the world accepts the theory by the world found by the girl until it is disputed by another scientist with proof. Researching has no age. we don't know computers just 15 to 20 years ago. we now seeing googles, yahoos, twitters etc., This is an advance in science. when science is advancing, surely there will be new theories on all subjects. But, we have to accept the struggle of the girl in researching and bringing the same to the whole world, but the pithamagan of research of the Astrophysiques will be the same scientists and this will never be disputed. i gave details about illusions and enlightment in my answer to the question separately.
