It's definitely cat acne. Here's what you do:
1. Get rid of all plastic food dishes. Only ceramic and stainless steel can be thoroughly cleaned.
2. Wash your cat's dishes in hot soapy water every day.
3. You can clean your kitty's affected areas with a soft wash cloth and a little baby shampoo until it clears up some. Or, once to get the big stuff off.
4. Use Neosporin or other antibacterial cream on the affected area twice a day. The Neosporin moisturizes the acne so it comes off a little easier, it disinfects what's there, and it prevents new acne from forming.
If you keep it under control you don't need vet visits. Our first outbreak required a vet visit because my boy kitty had scratched his chin until it was raw.
All of the above items were recommended by our vet.

I had this happen to a cat recently after desexing & vaccination...turns out he was having an allergic reaction..his mouth area was also swollen. If there are no symptoms, other than the spots, try to relax til your vet opens, she should be fine. You might want to check to see if there is an emergency vet open?...when mine happened it was night time and I emailed the emergency vet a pic of the kitty, and after she looked at it, we decided over the phone I didn't have to bring him in urgently.
If it has come up suddenly, with swelling, you might want to consider possibility it's an allergic reaction...if it's come up over time, more likely something like acne.

Sounds like feline acne. Wash and rinse the area thoroughly at least once a day. And remove any plastic cat dishes you may be using. All of the dishes your cat eats out of should be glass, ceramic or stainless steel.

I KNOW what it is. My cat had this also. it is cat acne. Sounds funny but it is true. The vet can give you a cream for it. So don't fret. But def. cat acne. I was laughing when my vet told me that also. I am sure there is a more technical name for it but in simple terms.....

If you put your cats food in a plastic bowl, change it to a glass or pottery or ceramic bowl.
Plastic holds onto bacteria and the cat pics it up when it eats. I suspect that is what your problem is.
