want to do this when someone at the office runs say a game and hogs the computer with it. To be able to limit the time played per day. Must not show any messages on shutdown so that user does not know that it is being monitored. (Example: windows Solitaire.exe)

On Windows XP and 200x, You can use the Task Scehduler and PSKILL to terminate ANY running programs on the PC.

Download the PSKILL from Microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/PsKill.mspx

You just need to specify which programs are to be terminated at what time and at which interval.

Run PSKILL between 7am to 12nn and 1pm to 8pm every 5 mins.

This is none intrusive but will surely frustrate the employee trying to waste company time.

When you accept a job, you are selling X hours of your time to an employer. When on the job, those hours (and the computer) belong to him.

Do you want your employer to find that there is not sufficient work to keep you busy, therefore you may not be needed?
