Use something labled "Reconditioner" or "Reconstructor". You'll want a good protein/moisture balance. Make sure it doesn't have mineral oil in it or balsam in it. Those two ingredients can relax out a perm. Sometimes doing a deep treatment can actually perk up a perm because it strengthens the bonds in the hair.

Are you worried about the the frizz and the dryness then yes a deep cond. treatment is perfect.Your hair is hungry for moisture after a perm you have to really take care of it now cuz if you don't those chemicals will kill your hair, after a perm sometimes it takes more work.goodluck. Go to a salon for a treatment or try V05.

Absolutely. In fact, it's a must when you perm hair to deep condition. The perm products can strip your hair of it's natural oils and you need them back as quickly as possible. I deep condition at least once per week. I color and perm my hair and because both of those are highly offensive to hair and will cause major breakage, I have to deep condition.

as long as its not within the first week or two, deep conditioners are good for permed hair. if you are using one with proteins in it, don't use it more than once a week. too much protein can actually dry your hair out even more.

You're OK as long as it's been a month. I have found waiting to be very important, even thought the salon usually tells you it doesn't matter. It may relax it a tiny bit, but not enough to make much difference. And the conditioner will make it feel so much better.
Good luck, enjoy those curls!!!
