Absolutely none! My girlfriend was raised by a hardcore Christan father that used to basically force her to attend church while she was living under his roof. God supposedly gave us free will, yet for some reason her father was godly enough that he thought it was fine to take it away. She was 20 and attending college at the time, so she had no other choice, but to live at home. Now that she has been able to get out from under his thumb, we both enjoy a religion free life! I am strict atheist and she is agnostic. I respect her and she does likewise with my beliefs. Her father was so furious, we had to cut ties with her side of the family , because he couldn't accept our beliefs. It just goes to show how religion causes more problems than it fixes. On a side note, I was talking to a Christian friend of mine that happens to be a drug counselor one day about her father and he brought up an interesting point. A lot of people have drug problems develop, because of abusive and controlling people in their lives, like parents for example. After he told me this, he ask me what I thought the two most controlling types of people were. He then proceeds to tell me that out of the studies done, it turns out to be alcoholics and strongly religious people. It just goes to show the correlation between the addictiveness that alcohol and religion produce and what they can both push people to do.

I feel much more comfortable with people who are of my faith or at least believers in a God. I am not anti anyone's faith as I believe that everyone has the right and privilege to worship who, where or what they want to. I have married twice outside of my religion because I was not active in Church at the time of my marriages. Now that I am active again my 3rd husband has to be of my faith. I refuse to even date anyone who is not. We should be equally yoked as the Bible advises us.

Is it not human nature to form relationships with those who share your basic beliefs, principals, and common intrests?

Considering religion is a big part of my life, and I am very open about my Religion, I tend to become closer friends with those who share some of my beliefs, or are at least open about them. I do have friends who do not share my beliefs, but they dont condem me for them either, religion just stays out of the conversation.
I am very open about meeting people of varing faiths and cultures, But I would have to say that my closest friends do share my religous beliefs and way of life.

None at all, or at least I try to have it have no effect. I try (though I do sometimes fail) to accept everyones religion because it's a personal belief. I would not for instance break up with someone if they were Christian. As long as they respected my beliefs I would have no problem with them.

It is only human for us to be drawn to like minded people. All of my best friends are Christians. Some are not of the same church and beliefs, but all are Christians. I have some casual friends that are not Christians.

Unfortunately, way too big. The world would be a far better place to live without religion.

I don't let it effect the person I'm with if they aren't Christian. Your religion shouldn't interfer with loving someone, unless you are selfish and think everyone has to be like you. Me, i keep what I believe to myself and my family, and friends. I only mention it if a partner who isn't Christian ask about it.
