geez if you have to ask a question like this you really need to educate yourself about women, sex and the functions of your's and her body.... and yes that's why ABSTAINING FROM SEX before marriage is a very good idea indeed, because THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SAFE SEX.

The old joke is -
Q: Do you know what they call people who use the Rhythm method?
A: Parents
The fact of the matter is: you're much more likely to get pregnant if you have sex during ovulation. Ovulation occurs 14 days after the start of her last period.
At least, it's supposed to. She's not going to ovulate at exatly the same time every month. It could be from 10 days to 20 days. It's also possible to ovulate more than once.
Also, did you know that sperm can live up to 5 days?
So, let's look at this very likely scenario. You have sex on day 5 of her cycle (supposedly a week and a half before she's SUPPOSED to ovulate), she ovulates on day 10 instead, the hardy sperm are still swimmin' around in there - BADDA BING! There' s a bun in the oven.
Be realistic. The best way to preven pregancy is to use protection - both of you. You should always wear a condom and she should be on the pill and/or a diaphram.
Besides, I'm not sure why you won't use protection - if it's because you're too embarrassed to buy it, then you are not mature enough to have sex. If you don't like how it feels, well, get a vesectomy, then.

There is no best time. She can get pregnant at any time even when she has her period. There are days when it is low risk, but not 100% safe. The rhythm method works but you need to be consistent and preferrably experienced. This is not what you want to hear but you sound like someone very young. Protection is your safest bet if you do not want to abstain.

There is a window in which a woman is 'most fertile' but women can have an off month at any time and ovulate late or early. There really is no 'safe' time to have sex, it is one of those things that really is risky. There are people who use the timing method to avoid pregnancy but they go through a few months of charting her period and symptoms, as well as using ovulator kits to best predict her most fertile days. Even there, I had a friend who got pregnant twice while using that method (trying to avoid pregnancy) and she was soooo careful. Your best bet is to look into other ways of insuring that it won't happen, because there is no sure way to tell with a woman. Sorry! :(

The best chance is of sleeping with a girl and not get her pregnant is the first 3 days after her period. That is the best chance that she is not ovulating. No promises, and good luck!

When she is on birth control dumb ***. I use this term because sex without protection is the dumbest thing I ever heard of. I didn't think anyone was stupid enough to have sex without a condom

If you have to ask this question, your obviously not mature enough for this next step. Even though your body says yes...you need to learn more about this.
