My friend keeps saying my ex-bf was a woman-beater because he hit me more then I can count on one hand. My new bf says he's a woman-beater because he hit me at all, which is it?

You were lucky to get away from a man who was putting his hands on you for any reason. You were lucky you didn't get hurt---unless you did and you do not want to admit it. How old are you and when will you learn that you don't have to be in an abusive relationship. NOT all men are that way--you need to stay with the nice guys who don't have to shove women around to make up for their lousy lives---they do it because they are lacking whatever it is they think they need to be in control over and dominate. Mostly women who think they are all like that---or I'll never do any better so I will stay with this guy---You can do better and you don't need to ever have a man disrespect you. It is illegal and it is downright scummy---I wish that guy would touch me---just once. At least you got away and hopefully you are OK and having more fun. I have seen plenty of scarred, injured and bloody women----all abused by scum bags who are cowards once they get to the police station. The ones who killed women are absolute losers who deserve jail and never have contact with people again. You need to remember that you are in charge of yourself and your well being--you don't need to share your life in a dangerous enviornment---always go for the best and enjoy your life---be happy good luck.

Any man who strikes a woman is an abuser, no matter how many times, no matter what happened. You don't have very good luck when it comes to boyfriends, I would take a break for now.

he hit you on a hand??? thats not really beating you up more like treating you like a child its still nor rite though, and i kinda agree wit you bf he should have hit you at all it isn't rite. if you guys were just going out then it could have led to a lot more than just your hand. i don't really think that he beat you up but i think that he probly would and could have, any man that shows any type of violence towards me is gone like that lol
