Really, HOW WOULD ANYONE KNOW? It's my understanding that the bible is a compilation of stories written by various scholars of that time. They could all be just that....stories. Fiction.

I believe Mary gave birth to Jesus and he walked the earth preformed miracles, Noah's arch....but as for the teachings I do question, we do not know for sure of these writings, If there true why are all bibles written different teach different say different things, Catholic, Baptist which even split, Presbyterian, Jews etc......if the Bible were to fact we would all worship under one roof
There is a women who lives in north GA each month on the same date she speaks to the Virgin Mary I went once I didn't"t believe but I am open minded. After she came out and told what the Blessed Mother had said to her rose petals fell from the sky. It was breath taking. It never happened again (the roses) but I do believe this woman spoke to Mary
This does not change how I feel about the writings....It's like when you tell some one something in a room of 30 people by the time it reaches you it has changed

The Bible's accuracy and reliability have been proved and verified over and over again by archaeological finds produced by both believing and nonbelieving scholars and scientists. This included verification for numerous customs, places, names, and events mentioned in the Bible.
One among many examples is the fact that for many years the existence of the Hittites (a powerful people who lived during the time of Abraham) was questioned because no archaeological digs had uncovered anything about them. Critics claimed the Hittites were pure myth. But today the critics are silenced. Abundant archaeological evidence for the existence of the Hittites during the time of Abraham has been uncovered.
Bible scholar Donald J. Wiseman notes, "The geography of Bible lands and visible remains of antiquity were gradually recorded until today more than 23,000 sites within this region and dating to Old Testament times, in their broadest sense, have been located." Nelson Glueck, a specialist in ancient literature, did an exhaustive study and concluded: "It can be stated categorically that no archaeological discovery has ever controverted a biblical reference." Well-known scholar William F. Albright, following a comprehensive study, wrote: "Discovery after discovery has established the accuracy of innumerable details, and has brought increased recognition of the value of the Bible as a source of History."
There are more than 24,000 partial and complete manuscript copies of the New Testament. These manuscript copies are very ancient and they are available for inspection NOW. there are also some 86,000 quotations from the early church fathers and several thousand lectionaries (church-service books containing Scripture quotations used in the early centuries of Christianity). In fact, there are enough quotations from the early church fathers that even if we did not have a single copy of the Bible, scholars could still reconstruct all but 11 verses of the entire New Testament from material written within 150 to 200 years from the time of Christ. Bottom line: The New Testament has an overwhelming amount of evidence supporting its reliability.

You have to think. It is almost impossible for people to just suddenly come up with such a complex story that is in the Bible on their own. All the stories connect to each other and yet some of the people who wrote the Bible didn't even know each other so how could the stories connect so evenly. Theres too much references, details, and back stories, and charaters to say that this was a lie. The Bible is and was and will always be the GREATEST book ever created.

The liars said it was so, therefore, it is the truth.
It is highly probable that the contradictions found in the Bible are a result of different personal biases and personal agendas. Things were written to get a job done at the specific time they were written.
Other questions:
Why is god so inarticulate that he cannot spell things out so clearly that we do not need to have herds of wealthy preachers interpret the Bible? Why is every preacher's interpretation different? Why are there so many denominations instead of just one Christian religion called the Arlington Street Fourth Church of Pentecostal Latter Day Jesus for Christ Sake Nuclear Physicist.

Jesus let us know he was going to send back a comforter ...which is the Holy Ghost...the Holy Ghost ...teaches us all things...and brings all things into our rememberance that which Christ has spoken...So essentially...He does not allow us to use anything that is a lie....that's #1..
#2 there are passages that you can read that show how the bible was written...
Jeremiah 36:1-4...
Lastly..we have promises from God that his word not only exists BUT that they cannot be changed...
Jeremiah 33:20-21...says ...God speaking ..that If you could change the covenant of night and day...then you can change his word or promise...Night and day are her e..because...man cannot change Gods word...OK another ..Jesus said ...
Matthew 5:18...heavens and earth will pass away before one jot or tittle of his word would fail...another words our existance...would cease to exist if man could change Gods word...why are we still here?...for the same reason we still have night and day...BECAUSE..man cannot change Gods word...neither can he make it null or void..
Who is the liar??...mankind ..not God..mans shallow thinking...his in ability to know the things of God...

The bible was inspired by Go IITim 3:16. 40 men over 1500 years in complete unity. No errors. The odds are impossible, but with God speaking, all things are possible

In the case of the Bible, the books were written over hundreds of years by people who did not know each other. There are no odds astronomical enough to explain how these people could have all agreed not only in prophetic warnings and teachings, but in laying down the foundation for God's plan for our salvation: Christ.

How can you believe every thing about science...don't you remember when they thought that lead wouldn't hurt you....and what about all the drugs that get pulled from the shelves because the FDA approved them and later found out they were wrong....even back in the 60's when they prescribed medication for women and then later on there were thousands of birth defects...it goes on and on about science too...

Can question anything any man tells me but that is the difference in "religion" and faith.
Know without a doubt the things that God has done for me in my life.
Know without a doubt there is no way any man could have accomplished the healings and helps that have been provided in my life.
Know without a doubt that He loves me as no other ever can!
Know that I may not always be what I am supposed to be - but He IS everything He promised!!!

When it comes to God, Jesus and the bible, Christians live by faith. We do not have to prove anything to anyone we believe,We are living in the last days and when Jesus comes on the last day you will believe too but it will be to late for you and others like you .and now what are you waiting? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord..Love in Christ..Josie
