Example: if a Deer that jumps out in front of your Car while cruising along the Highway... Is considered No fault and is covered only if you have comprehensive insurance coverage.
If you slide into anything its considered Fault. 50/50, 80/20, or 100%...
Also if Speed is a factor or a ticket is issued during the accident with the road hazard you could be considered at fault.

Well, it depends, but the ruling is usually that you have to maintain control of your vehicle. If the road hazard is rutted snow and ice for instance, chances are about 99 % you will be considered at fault. I had an aunt whose car rolled when she hit a pot-hole at night on a brand-new (open 2 days) stretch of highway. She was able to fight and get fault assigned to the highways department, but that is actually rare.
