Despite the sarcasm and skepticism of some of the answers, some home remedies do work. For example...gargling with salt water helps an irritated throat. A hot toddy made with whiskey, lemon and honey and heated until slightly warm helps to break up a chest cold. Smoke blown into an ear with an abscess in it will cause the abscess to rupture and drain. A drop of peppermint flavoring in an 8 oz. baby bottle of water will sooth a colicky babies stomach. The list goes on and on and you would be surprised to find out just how many actually work.

Your question is pretty vague.. Angelique is correct about the book "Natures Remedies" It is a good reference and it has many healing remedies that are 100% natural and safe to have in your home. The book reads like a dictionary you can research your symptoms and try treatment without the possibility of embarssement on line.
Bon Chance (good luck)

Don't know about remedies but here how you Make PICKLES!

It's so ironic that, I'm making pickles, just took a break,
waiting for water cools down. Here how you make the best darn pickles in this side of the world!!!!!

Ingredients:

cucumber: i use small size about 6-7 inch.
vineger, whit only
hot pepper if you like it hot.
garlic
mints
container with air tight led
salt, better the special one for pickeling

start:
1. by washing all the vegetables but before, for the size of your container boil some water nd let it cool down COMPLETLY.

2.place the cucumber in the cont. one row cucum. one row mint, garlic(pilled) and chilli pepper OR arrange the way you like.

3.pour lots of salt for 1gal. lets say 500 to 700g salt.

4.now vineger 1ltr for 1gal. container and rest cooled water, covers every thing.

5.make sure its air tight, i use plain plastic bag before putting the led.

6. store it in a cool place, heat would ruin every thing.

now, longer you wait better it gets or at least 3 weeks, if you're not paitiont as i m, when it's completly discolors, like you see at sores.
Good luck, now i have go finish mine!
