what do i do if my parents won't let me date until im 16 and im only 14. i feel like this is a stupid rule and can't help dating. im trying to keep it down to just a couple of REALLY nice, cute guys. do you think this is totally wrong? what should i do?

your should always be careful not all guys are trust worthy. If you want a loop hole to the no dating rule. Go on group dates go out with several friends and invit your date with you. As long as you are with the group then your parents wont be as worried. but dont break their trust by seperating from the group to be alone. two years will go by fast and you wont have to group date for long.

You are probably not going to like my answer. Listen to your parents they know what they are talking about. You are too young to know about life and the bad things that can happen in this world. You don't want to learn at this young age. You may think these are really nice guys but you have not been alone with them and they may turn out not to be so nice. If you have any dreams in life stay away from boys or your dreams may fly out the window. My daughter is 13 and she is not allowed to date til 16. She doesn't have a problem with it cause she wants to be a singer and she says that no boy is going to keep her from achieveing that dream. You can't win against your parents so learn from them. Would you want your daughter to date at such an early age. If you sneak out and disobey your parents you may have a daughter sooner than you think. Believe me you are not ready for that. Don't say you are too smart for that cause you are not. Your parents only want what is best for you as you would want what is best for your child.

You may feel its stupid but they are just looking out for you and want to protect you . Ask if it is ok to go on group dates with 2 or more couples most parents feel a little more comfortable with this . Good luck and I hoped I helped a little .

ummm...yeah so i guess that sucks but you're young. dating shouldn't be such a priority. it's cool to hang out with nice, cute guys and go to the movies with them and whatever but just as friends is better when you're 14. 16 isn't too far away! you'll survive!
