How much is too much alcohol has he been this drunk before??? I'm assume he hasn't or you wouldn't be asking this question. You need to take him to the ER right away. The ER doesn't care if you have insurance or not. They will work with you on your bills. To put this bluntly. . . do you care about having a ER bills or not having a dad anymore. Do the right thing!!!

Take him to the hospital to have his stomach pumped.
Honey - If he could afford the alcohol, he will find a way to pay the hospital bill. Alcohol goes into the blood stream very quickly - he needs hospital care. If he gets mad at you, remind him that he did this to himself, and that he is the adult putting you in a position to make decisions for him because he isn't capable.
Ya know what - it doesn't matter how often or why - he needs help, and you making excuses is only delaying it.

There is a thing called alcohol poisoning. And you should really be calling 9-11 to ask this question not on the computer waiting for replies. Insurance or no insurance he was irresponsible to drink so much at once and now there are consequences and he should be taken to the er probably by ambulance. Let this be a lesson to all you teenagers who think it is cool to get drunk.

Unfortunately not. What you really need to do is watch him if he passes out. Make sure that he is not flat on his back. This is very important, if he passes out on his back he can drown from his own vomit. Keep him on his side or stomach.
You can try to get him to eat saltine crackers they will give him necessary electrolytes and make him thirsty for water. Force fluids to him this can help with the hang over to come it also may assist in removing the alcohol but there will be little change if any.
Do not try to give him coffee it will only cause him to wake up and want more.
Good luck to you

Actually, there isn't.
Alcohol is a substance that gets into the blood. You cannot stop this, or lower the amount of alcohol quickly. You just have to wait until the body recovers.

How much is too much? Has he passed out? If your Dad is not used to drinking alcohol, he will probably go to sleep and sleep it off. Unless he has alcohol poisoning, he does not need to go to the hospital.

have him drink a lot of water, one cup every 1/2 hour to dilute the stuff. Make sure he doesn't pass out, get him walking around the living room for an hour or so,. Best thing would be the hospital.

He needs to flush it out of his system. Lots of fluids (water). If you are not going to take him to the hospital, then make sure he doesn't aspirate by laying him on his side and watching him.
When he stops breathing and turns blue, you should probably get over this stupid idea of not getting him medical help. Funerals are expensive, too.

just get you're girl Friend around and to the person who said make him sick it up he probably been sick already and that will not do any good anyway because it will already be in his blood and if it affects him it will only kill him, and the person who said put water down his throat that's drowning him and that don't sound like such a good idea to me

Call an ambulance NOW. Worry about the expense later. You're Dad's life is much more important!
