when a guy you are dating tells you the only reason he was seeing a particular girl was not because he loved her but because he didn't have any where else to go when he and his girlfriend at the time had an argument and she put him out. He also said this girl was only there because she was familiar and he could sleep. What does this mean and what actually was this girl to him. I believe they had a long history together, even though I don't think she was ever his main woman?

Basically it looks like he could be telling the truth. She was, perhaps is, infatuated with him and let him sleep there, sleep with her. She basically probably was in love with him, and he didn't feel the same way.

This means he uses women for what he can get out of them. If you are smart you will move on fast!!!!!!!!!!!!
