January is such a depressing month with the holidays being over and visiting family members gone. And it is still so cold and gloomy. Any suggestions on how to make things seem a bit happier?

Plan something for the end of the month. Something you reeeeeeeeeeallllllly want to do. That way you have something to look forward to all month!

You could add, "and we usually quit all our great resolutions for the New Year before now"....

I'm going to suggest that you revisit those 'resolutions' you made at the end of December....

Reading a powerful book (I'm reading Steven Covey's "The 8th Habit", a chapter a month), listening to a motivational self-improvement CD, or hiring a life coach are all remarkably accessible to almost anyone these days, no matter where you live, thanks to the internet and the competitive phone system.

If you need a fast and easy way to get through S.A.D. or general blues, try the Emotional Freedom Technique. It is easy to learn and apply, and very effective for turning around negative feelings and situations. All the best!

You should be trying to make January 2007 your happiest month ever. You cannot be a trillionaire (1,000x billion) since there is a limit to money on the planet. But there is no limit to happiness. Read webpage below if you would rather be happy than miserable the rest of your life.

Go on a trip somewhere warm. Better yet go on a Caribbean cruise, they have some 3, 4 or 6 night cruises. Nothing like getting away for a while & coming back feeling refreshed.
