Don't give me that crap about it being cells....Before most women know they are pregnant (at 3 weeks), the baby's heart is already beating. Most abortions are not committed until at least 7 weeks. At that point, the baby has tiny fingers, recordable brain waves, and possibly the ability to feel pain. If you really think abortion is not murder, you need to see photos of abortion. I won't provide the link but you can look it up with a simple search. Horrific. And remember, slavery was legal at one point too. Did that make it right? The Supreme Court ruled that slaves were not "persons." Does that mean that they really weren't persons? Is it possible that the Supreme Court can be wrong?

emmie- I'm sorry u had to go through that, i'm in no way judgemental, i believe you had a heartwrenching choice because your life was in danger and you had another child to care for. I know God is forgiving under your extreme circumstance. god bless

Abortion is legalized murder. It shouldnt be a choice at all. And you are right.... why cant adoption be an option? When a woman gets an abortion, she is in fact murdering her own child. And any man that talks a woman into getting an abortion is just as guilty.

There is so much constraversy over this subject. Me for one would not have one. but there are other reason why women have abortions. Some pregnancies risk the mothers life and some women chose to have them because they were raped. I try not to judge women whose had abortions because we don't know there circumstances. But maybe abortion rates will go down because of the morning after pill. I agree the baby should have rights, and adoption should be considered. And I also wonder if theres any pain for the baby. BUT if the women chose to have the abortion just because they don't want the baby that is a whole different story and that is called selfishness and should be agianst the law. Murdering a already born person is. Why not abortion?

I am against abortion. I always will be. I could never go to a clinic and have a baby ripped to pieces, even if I were raped, even if it were my life or the baby's. That is my choice and my right to have that opinion.
But it's not my right to tell someone else that they cant. They are entitled to their opinions and to do whatever they wish with their bodies.
I truly believe that God gave us all the power to decide and choose all of our actions. If someone has or will chose to have an abortion. That is their issue they will have to work out between their own conscience and God. I believe that God will care for the unwanted babies and forgive their mothers if they ask for it.
It is legal, for now. Whether it be morally wrong or murder on ones eyes, its not in another, and until the majority of Americans decide that it is murder it will remain legal. Judgment of peers, inevitably will not be what matters.

You are correct, a woman has the right to choose.
No, the inseminated egg does not have rights and every sperm is not sacred; some bodily tissue is sluffed off like hair and toe nails.
Does anyone say, "Hay, lets get pregnant so we can have an abortion!" No, they don't. If right wing Christians really cared about abortions they would promote conditions that decreased the likelihood of a woman choosing to have one. By the way, that is God's admonition: to take care of the least of God's children as you would take care of God. Helping the poor, providing good quality education and universal health care are good for God's people. Christians today are more interested in killing democratically elected socialist leaders and stealing the country's oil than helping God's less fortunate children.
Note: research indicates abortion reduced delinquency rates. Unwanted kids, kids who do not get good quality parental care are far more likely to be criminals.
Finally, adoption is possible and an option for some.

It is a woman's right to choose because everyone considering abortion is in their own unique circumstance. Do you really think it's an easy decision to make? Do you really think women just walk in there and walk back out smiling and skipping and thinking what a great choice they made? Uh...no. It's terrifying and it's physically and emotionally taxing. I had to have one because it was my life or its life and I already had a child to think about. I couldn't watch any commercials with babies in it or actually be in the same room with a baby for way over a year because of how emotional I would get. People who generalize abortions as it being wrong don't see the whole picture. They see one side, and one side only, when they really need to look at the big picture.

I could not agree with you more. We as pro-lifers must be the ones that stand up for the unborn. Because they cannot speak for themselves. Adoption should be an option. I am adopted and my husband and I adopted 2 children. The greatest sacrifice a woman can do is CHOOSE life for her child, and then place that child for adoption if she herself cannot raise that child for some reason. This sounds blunt but here it goes- when a woman and a man choose to have sex, they need to be responsible if they conceive a child. That baby is living from the time of conception. Did you know that a baby's heart beats at 3 weeks after conception, and you do not even know you are pregnant usually at time. If that same woman was in a car accident and the baby died, people would mourn the loss of the child, but if that child died in an abortion clinic, it would called choice. How can it be death of a child on one side, and only tissue at another. Not possible. I hope that your question makes people think. God bless you.

yes its the womans right to choose, always.
i agree that adoption should be the first option but there are exceptions.
In cases where the woman was raped and impregnated, it should be her right to abort that baby because it was not in her control that she got pregnant, and that pregnancy would just remind her of it every day. What a depressing 9 months! and then she has to go through the pain of labor to give birth to a baby that has the genes of her raper....not to appealing is it?

You don't know what the situation is, the women's life child's life, in danger of being loss while pregnant, a rape victim getting pregnant, molestation, incest, ...... will you adopt all of the babies.......what if the women is a crack addict or has aids
Some women just don't think they can go through adoption it is hard to go through 9 months pregnancy then give birth then give it to some one then think if they are being taking care of what they look like.
No a baby is not able to choose as no one has the right to judge a women, because you are not in her shoes.......and as for a man he will NEVER NO how it feels to be a women NEVER and has no right to say what we should do with our bodies at all

I agree. Some of the other posters said you shouldn't worry unless you are willing to support the children.Well I have the same views as you (the asker) and as someone who was adopted and there family is trying to adopt again, would take any child that needed a home.

A fetus is a POTENTIAL life. Many more fetuses are lost through spontaneous abortion (a "miscarriage") than will ever be lost through therapeutic procedures. So, are those mothers who lost their pregnancies through miscarriage guilty of murder too? Or did your gods perform the abortion?
I'd have a lot more respect for the pro-lifers if they spent as much energy making life better for the people that are already here instead of complaining about their taxes being spent on social programs.
And I never see any of the pro-lifers offering to adopt the fetuses they're trying to "save." What I do see is, after those kids they "save" are born, is them turning their backs, walking away, then calling their local hate radio shows to complain about "unwed welfare mothers."
Why don't you hypocrites spend a little energy on teaching people how not to get pregnant in the first place? Forget abstinence education; it's a tragic joke. You're not going to keep people from having sex, no matter how much Jesus you throw at them. So make sex education mean something, by including contraception, and stop telling lies about condoms.
And if you're male, shut up about abortion. Men can't get pregnant, so it's none of our business.
And just for the record: I don't like abortion either. I don't think it should be used for birth control, because there are much better methods for that. We need to grow up and realize humans have sex.

A womans " right " to choose is only valid in mans` thinking because of fornication and disobeying Gods` Law concerning marriage ! Having sex outside of The Holy Union of Marriage ( between a man and a woman ) is a sin and there is no misunderstanding that this is what God meant in His Word !! You are correct to suggest an option of adoption . It is amazing to find out what the people that are for abortion answer when the question " What if your mother would have had an abortion " is put before them ?? God will surely Bless you for your concern for the unborn !!
