i dont know, i think rhetoric was a little worse. my all time favorite was a sports show where the opposing team was shellacked by the home team. how innovative can you get? it was so riveting that i remember it 25 yrs after the fact.

Yes. It's over used and getting tiresome. Industry and techno geeks need to come up with a more interesting work to capture our attention and imagination!

I have more important things to worry about than the over use of words. At least they're not nasty words.

Where I work, it's "utilize". "We need to utilize the toaster in the break room more often." "Let's utilize the yellow paper in the copier this week." "I need to utilize the toilet."
