Please call your doctor. Stomach flu typcially lasts 24-48 hours tops, then you may feel weak and bad for another week.

But vomiting for two weeks and having the severe pain you're describing sounds very unusual. I would think food poisoning would resolve, but sometimes it takes antibiotics to kick something like that out.

But I am VERY concerned to hear how long you've been ill. It's time to do some serious detective work! When did you both first become ill? What had you been eating/drinking/doing and where had you been? Has something changed in your home (a fireplace installed - think carbon monoxide poisoning here), or something significant changed in your environment (water lines, nearby solid waste facilities or manufacturing plants?) How about vacations or cruises? Whatever it was/is, the two of you were exposed at the same time....but what you're describing does NOT sound like stomach flu.

Being sick and in pain for so long indicates a real problem - you need a doctor to see you both IMMEDIATELY, but you also need to start looking around to see if you can find some possible triggers.

Not trying to make you fearful, but whatever is working on your stomach could be affecting other organs while you continue to let this go. The longer you wait to seek help, the more you may end up prolonging the recovery period, or causing other, even more serious problems in the long haul.

Please, please, please call your doctor right away! I wish you all the best -

stomach flu usually lasts for about 24 hours. sometimes a little longer. I highly recommend that you and your husband see a doctor a.s.a.p. both of you should be fine by now. so don't take any chances with your health, and see a doctor. vomiting and so forth for that long will throw off your electrolyte balance and cause dehydration. for the moment please get some gatorade, jello, popsicles, maybe some chicken broth too, if you think you can hold it down, and just try and keep something in your stomach. and even though it's very acidic, try sipping some purple grape juice. it's been proven to work. and when the two of stop the vomiting and everything you'll want to ease back into solid foods. try the brat diet. first day, bananas, along with all your liquids, second day, add rice, third day, add apple sauce, and fourth day, add toast. it will really help your stomach recover.
Hope you both feel better soon.

You need to call your doctor at least.. Stomach flu especially the one going around now can last off and on for weeks but usually last only about 36 hours at the most..Different strains of flu can last a long time.I had the flu/virus/sinus for about three or four weeks.I still dont feel that good and its been over a month since I was suppose to be over it.. If I were you I would at least call my doctor and ask them what to do..?But this year there are so many bugs, and flu and viruses going around its hard to know just what you have ,,but once again I would check with your doctor..

normally they don't last that long. I would call or visit your doctor or urgent care. The longest I have had the stomach flu where I vomited was 4 days.

My mother has the same thing and for the same amount of time. I just took her to the doctor yesterday and they gave her a medicine for her diahrrea (which she as in addition to the vomitting) and an inhaler for her wheezing in her lungs. Its been going around badly here, its been lasting up to 3 weeks. Just make sure you don't get dehydrated, drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest.

you need to get a doctor. in the meantime, drink gatorade and water. if that doesn't setttle, suck on ice chips. have once ounce every 20 mintues. if that settles, have toast and pretzels. only bland foods. try popsicles.

I had something similar for two weeks, but not to that degree. I definitely recommend that you see a doctor if you have not already.

You need to see a doctor you could have salmonella, or a host of other bacterial diseases or a parasite.
