Say, if the student says bye to him, and then he gives a wink or two (along with the 'bye')?

Let's just say it happened a few times. I am, honestly, interested in him. And he knows this...if it matters.

It's definitely not because he "has something in his eye." He does it on purpose. The last few times when I said bye to him, he did it twice. There were lots of times where he never did it though. Not a twitch.

It means that he wants you to contact your principal about this situation so that he can find another job.

A wink says a lot of things it can be a playful thing with no harm meant so don't over react.

If he starts wanting to meet up with you after school or something that's very different and no unacceptable behaviour should be tolerated by any one but lighten up I say just being friendly easy going would you rather a cranky old man helling at you treating you like crap?

It probably means that student is taking it the wrong way. Winking while saying "bye" is a common thing, especially with older people.

The world is not as full of sickos as people seem to want to think. Cut the drama, give the guy a break.

Could be just a friendly gesture. Don't read more into it than there is. If he makes a move on you he'll be looking for another job if the school finds out. This guy aint gonna throw his career away for you unless he's totally stupid. In the latter case, why would you want someone that stupid?

Unless he has something in his eye, he is interested in a relationship outside of the classroom, which is perverted.

does he only wink at one student? if he does then I would be careful---he may be flirting with her which is totally not cool---if he winks at other students then he is just being nice and this may be something he does as a habit----

It means he is definately tired of his current profession, and should be tattled on to the principal, (like yesterday.) Run, run as fast as you can.!!!!
