none. Read, "Theres Got to be a Better Way, discipline that works by Dr. Becky Baily and "How to talk so kids will listen and lesten so kids will talk by Adele Faber. Spanking has a negative effect on the child's emotional growth. It only teaches him to problem solve through hitting and teaches him that if your bigger you have more power.

I really did not spank my kids..maybe a slap on the hand or diaper if they were getting in to something that could hurt them...mostly time outs and take privileges away worked for me

I never have spanked my children and never will. Spanking lowers the iq, causes resentment, doesn't teach the skill or point necessary, causes children to hide their behaviors rather than change them, teaches kids that people who love them can hurt them physically, and, on top of all that, spanking doesn't work!!!!
