A father and son are travelling down a country road when the car spins out of control and hits a tree. The father is knocked unconscious and is on life support. Answer: as many of you noticed, the doctor was the boys mother. It is interesting to note how many people think of the male as the dominant character in this riddle. It is in the wording of the riddle. Perhaps if the patient was actually a girl, then it would give you a hint and lead you in the opposite direction. :)

The doctor is his mother!! I love this riddle. It seems obvious when you hear the answer, but lots of people assume the doctor is a man. Good stuff.

I have 2 guesses.
Either the kid is on the outside of the car when it hits the tree and he gets hit,
or the kid's mom married twice.
